Sri Govardhana Mahimamrta (Rendered By: Yashoda Kumar Dasa)
Collection of several compositions by great acharyas glorifying Giriraja Govardhana, the chief devotee of Lord Hari. Lord Krishna, when he was just a seven year old boy lifted the Govardhana Mountain in order to curb the pride of Indra, the king of the heavens. Of all the devotees, the Govardhana Hill is the best! O my friends, this hill supplies Krishna and Balarama, along with Their calves, cows and cowherd friends, with all kinds of necessities—water for drinking, very soft grass, caves, fruits, flowers and vegetables. In this way this transcendental hill offers respects to the Lord. Being touched by the lotus feet of Krishna and Balarama, Govardhana Hill appears very jubilant.
