One thousand glorious transcendental names of Lord Venkaṭeśa was spoken by Śri Nāradā muni to Śri Vasiśtha and it is found in Śrī brahmāṇḍa purāṇā in the section of venkaṭāchala mahātmyā. Lord Venkaṭeśa is also called as Śrī Bālāji, who is the presiding deity in tirupati temple is glorified in these thousand transcendental names. The beloved lord is known for his sweet reciprocation with his devotees by granting all their desires. Phala śruti states that those who chant or hears these thousand transcendental names will be bestowed with good fortune, one will be freed from all kinds of dośhās, one will be cured from all kinds of diseases, attains immense desired wealth, prosperity, attains knowledge, gets a good son if desired, freedom form sorrows and attains peace of mind.
